Rural communities rose in power by piloting great practices in ecosystem curation and gathering precious seeds for the World Open Bank.

The board of wisdom for global governance selected five highly sensitive ecosystems on the planet to be precision monitored and performance limits were set to determine the planet’s strategic global navigation shift points.

This was possible because in the mid 2040s the member states unions worldwide had set the reserve backing to the single global currency in seeds and the world bank began trading in precious indigenous seeds.

In the early 2040s countries had been abolished (leaving only unions of member states) and cities had become territorial strongholds of governance, all holding vast interdependent networks with resilient rural communities and with other cities.

Every union of member states elected one member to the board of wisdom for global governance.

In the late 2030s all major Corporations had lost government subsidies and shifted from serving their shareholders profit to serving Planet Profit – shareholders were substituted by indigenous representatives of all planet regions where corporations tapped into resources.

In the mid 2030s Universal Basic Income became the globally adopted practice and employment evaporated. Contributions to societal needs became everyone’s shared responsibility. As long as something needs doing (any one complaining) in any community it is incorporated in its value flow.

In the early 2030s Seeds, Water and Bacteria were granted the same legal rights as other living and human beings, as they support and carry life and, now valued alive, both became the embedded value in local currencies. As a result, many products, services and commodities shifted from consumables to exceptional luxury experiences as their planet price was incorporated. (example Coca-Cola experience at 500Euros).

In the late 2020s food supply (even in urban communities) became 70% local and zero waste (including local composting) and repair practices saved 30+% of local governing bodies budgets. The shift from scarcity to abundance value flow kicked in. These measures saved budget was invested in creating Fablab and repair cafés in every neighbourhood in major cities.

In the mid 2020s local currencies covered almost 70% of transactions in rural communities and close to 35% of transactions in urban communities. The global currencies continued to exist mainly for international and intercontinental transactions.
